My name is David. I am a writer, educator and listener with a belief in the value of individual lives and stories.

I set up The Suffolk Biographer because it satisfies two of my favourite things: getting to know people and writing. I have spent my professional life working with language, learning, and people’s stories. As a former head teacher and lifelong writer, I am used to listening closely, asking the right questions, and helping others express what really matters to them.

I grew up in Suffolk and have lived here for the majority of my life. I see its landscape is steeped in history and experience, and I have a passion for capturing the stories of this place through the people who live here.
